We currently have a new exciting career opportunity for an experienced Senior Procurement Category Manager to join the NRMA Procurement Team. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, you will effectively manage multiple procurement projects over a broad range of procurement categories. The role will ensure risk mitigation through effective contracting and generating the best commercial outcome for the NRMA.

What You'll Do

• Lead and manage a pipeline of end-to-end procurement projects within your assigned categories.
• Identify and implement category strategies to optimize business efficiency
• Define and delivery a range of category management plans
• Integrate the category management plans into the overall procurement strategy, annual budget and organisational KPIs
• Ensure procurement activities are aligned with NRMA policies and business strategies
• Regular and effective internal stakeholder engagement and advice to agree and implement procurement projects
• Lead supplier negotiations, ensuring value for money and compliance with NRMA processes, procedures and policies
• Understand the current baseline expenditure profile including all the drivers that make up that expenditure for all assigned projects within the assigned categories of spend

What You'll Bring

• 7+ years procurement experience with primary accountability for end to end procurement processes
• Extensive experience within a Strategic Procurement function, including hands-on Category Management experience
• Category management competency and experience in IT and Corporate Services categories would be highly regarded
• Proven category management competency and experience in a range of indirect categories is essential
• Contract Management experience essential including a proven ability to formulate contracts and schedules to contracts
• Leadership, ability to coach and develop stakeholders, manage performance and achieve objectives
• Strong influencing skills and the ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders
• Procurement/Business acumen combined with highly developed strategic and commercial skills
• Strong negotiation and communications skills
