We're looking for an Area Manager to lead our Artarmon and Hornsby locations on a full-time basis.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be responsible for the day-to-day performance of both locations. You'll support your teams on the ground, drive customer and commercial outcomes, optimise fleet utilisation, and ensure operations run safely and efficiently.
Working closely with your teams, you'll coach performance, solve operational challenges, and create a positive customer experience from booking through to vehicle return.
Your Role

- Lead the overall performance of the Artarmon and Hornsby locations
- Drive strong customer, operational and commercial outcomes
- Analyse performance trends and implement action plans
- Coach and develop team members while maintaining a culture of accountability
- Drive upsell performance and maximise fleet utilisation
- Manage customer escalations and support your team in resolving issues
- Optimise rostering, productivity and labour costs
- Maintain fleet presentation and minimise vehicle downtime
- Manage P&L performance and control costs
- Ensure compliance with safety, operational and company standards
Your Skills
- Operational Experience: Experience within car rental, tourism, travel, transport, fleet, hospitality, accommodation, or other operational environments. Car rental experience will be highly regarded.
- Customer & Commercial Focus: Able to balance customer experience, operational performance, and commercial outcomes to drive business success.
- Performance Management: Experience coaching teams, managing underperformance and building a culture of accountability.
- Business Acumen: Confidence working with KPIs, budgets, labour planning, utilisation metrics, and operational reporting.
- Problem Solving: Able to manage competing priorities, make sound decisions under pressure and adapt to changing business needs.
All successful applicants must complete a National Criminal History Check, hold a current full driver’s licence, and have full Australian working rights.
