This is an opportunity for an experienced Senior Commercial Analyst who wants to operate beyond reporting numbers and play a meaningful role in influencing business decisions.

Working closely with our Commercial Finance Manager and partnering across the broader NRMA Parks & Resorts business, you’ll provide the commercial thinking behind investment decisions, business cases, capital planning, portfolio performance and strategic initiatives. You’ll build sophisticated financial models, test assumptions and translate complex financial and operational information into clear recommendations for senior stakeholders. 

It’s a role for someone commercially curious, confident challenging the status quo and ready to take genuine ownership of their work. This role offers the breadth, exposure and opportunity to build towards a future leadership role with us in commercial finance

What you will do

You’ll work across a diverse portfolio, providing high-quality commercial analysis and decision support across areas including:

• Developing complex financial models, scenario analysis and sensitivity modelling to support strategic decisions
• Building and evaluating business cases for capital investment and other commercial initiatives
• Assessing opportunities across acquisitions and divestments, master planning, park redevelopment, new accommodation products and guest experience initiatives
• Evaluating investment opportunities using NPV, ROCE, IRR, ROI and payback methodologies
• Analysing property, regional and portfolio performance to uncover trends, risks and commercial opportunities
• Identifying opportunities to improve revenue, profitability and operational efficiency
• Challenging assumptions and proposals to help ensure commercially robust outcomes
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning
• Reviewing performance following acquisitions and capital developments against original business cases
• Translating complex analysis into clear, practical recommendations for financial and non-financial stakeholders. 

What you will bring

You’re already operating at Senior Commercial Analyst level and are looking for a role where you can broaden your influence and commercial exposure.

You’ll bring:

• A degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business
• At least 5 years’ experience within commercial finance, business analysis or commercial analysis
• Advanced financial modelling and Excel capability
• Strong experience developing business cases, scenarios and commercial recommendations
• A track record of providing commercial decision support to senior stakeholders
• Strong commercial acumen and the confidence to interrogate information and challenge assumptions
• Experience working with BI and data visualisation tools
• The ability to take complex financial information and turn it into a compelling commercial story
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing capability
• The confidence and maturity to work autonomously, take ownership and manage competing priorities.

Experience within hospitality, tourism, accommodation, property or multi-site operations would be advantageous, as would exposure to Power BI, SQL, TM1/Planning Analytics or similar platforms.
