This role is a 9-month maximum term contract position that offers hybrid work arrangements from our Sydney CBD and Sydney Olympic Park offices with the flexibility to work from home as agreed and required.

In this role, you’ll bring structure, insight and continuous improvement to how we manage financial data including:

  • Regularly review master data records to ensure quality, integrity and compliance with governance standards.
  • Manage and improve finance process documentation, including policies, procedures, standards, metrics and business rules related to master data.
  • Document end-to-end data flows, transformations and dependencies to support change, release and operational management.
  • Implement and monitor controls to ensure data processes align with NRMA policies and governance requirements.
  • Identify, assess and resolve data issues, risks and breaches, escalating where required and supporting remediation activities.
  • Maintain the enterprise data dictionary, business glossary and metadata standards for the relevant data domain.
  • Promote high data quality, security, availability and consistent usage across the business, including effective data profiling and analysis.
  • Support secure supplier and customer onboarding while building strong relationships with buyers and system users to deliver quality support.
  • Prepare and maintain reporting, including service level, purchase order and credit card compliance reporting, as well as self-service end-user reports.
  • Recommend and implement system and process improvements to strengthen master data management and business effectiveness.
  • Support financial system upgrades, enhancements and reporting development, including functional specifications, framework usage insights and training needs.

What You'll Bring

  • Advanced Excel and Word skills supported by strong data and analytics capability
  • A passion for data quality, governance and continuous improvement
  • Strong understanding of business operations, purchasing and accounts payable policies and protocols, supplier and vendor relationship management, data governance, and business information systems
  • Ability to work across teams, communicate clearly and translate technical concepts into practical solutions
  • Comprehensive understanding of strategic and business planning including business re-engineering principles, processes and implementing business change
  • A broad awareness of a range of technologies and their practical applications in supporting business requirements.
