Freycinet Lodge is an eco-lodge that sits within the world famous Freycinet National Park – a stone’s throw from the renowned Wineglass Bay on the picturesque East Coast of Tasmania. The Lodge consists of 70 rooms and a main lodge, thoughtfully constructed around a beautiful waterfront below The Hazards mountain range. Located approximately 2.5 hours from Hobart or Launceston, Freycinet Lodge neighbours the popular holiday town of Coles Bay.

What you’ll do:

You may work in a variety of our food and beverage outlets where you’ll actively contribute to a vibrant, collaborative team focused environment. In this role you’ll support the Kitchen team to deliver consistently high quality meals by providing non-cooking duties in a kitchen or food preparation area. On a daily basis you will:

• Undertake general cleaning duties within a kitchen or food preparation area and scullery
• Cleaning of cooking and general utensils used in a kitchen and restaurant
• Assist colleagues who are cooking including assembling and preparing ingredients

What you’ll bring:  

• A vibrant attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a busy team 
• Genuine Interest in working in a commercial kitchen, preparing fresh produce 
• Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills  
• Demonstrated willingness to learn and acquire new skills 
• Ability to apply general mathematical skills in a workplace context 
• An ability to work in a fast paced environment 
• Possess a Do Food Safely Certificate of completion 
• Flexibility to work across other areas of the Lodge as required such Housekeeping, Reception or Food & Beverage 
• Flexible attitude to work hours over a 7 day roster, including weekends and public holidays
