Strahan is a small town and working port that serves as the gateway to the stunning UNESCO Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area. Located approximately 4.5 hours from Hobart or Launceston, Strahan Village is located in the heart of Strahan and offers an abundance of character and unique stories of the area’s pioneering history. We’re hiring multiple casual team members to join us in January 2026. We’re looking for enthusiastic individuals to help us deliver the outstanding service we’re known for. You'll ideally be able to commit to the end of April/May, including availability over weekends and public holidays.

We’re on the lookout for: 

• Experienced Bartenders with a passion for premium service 
• Wait Staff who thrive in a fast-paced hospitality environment 
• Baristas who can juggle multiple coffee orders at once 

What you’ll do: 

You may work in a variety of our food and beverage outlets, Hamer’s Bar & Bistro and The Kitchen Cafe, providing exceptional service with a warm welcome. You’ll treat our guests and customers as individuals, offering tailored options and solutions with a resilient and can-do attitude. On a daily basis you will: 

• Undertake general waiting and service duties of food and beverages. 
• Ensure accurate processing of dockets, including cashiering duties. 
• Setup and reset restaurants and specific conference & function activities as required. 

What you’ll bring:   

• Food and beverage service experience with a passion for great food showcasing local produce  
• Strong bar, cocktail and mixology experience 
• Barista skills (ability to manage high number of orders in a short window) 
• Understanding of sequence of service principles and general service operations 
• A vibrant attitude with the ability to work effectively as part of a busy team 
• Genuine interest and knowledge of beverage products such as spirits, beer, and wine. 
• A reputation for providing excellent customer service, engaging in great conversations with our guests 
• Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate 
• Possess a Do Food Safely Certificate of completion 
• Australian driver’s license 
• Flexible attitude to work hours over a 7 day roster, including weekends and public holidays
