Angourie Resort is no exception!  Nestled in the heart of Yamba, we’re passionate about delivering memorable conferences, events, and celebrations. Now, we’re looking for a dynamic Events Coordinator to take our guest experience to the next level.

What You’ll Do

As our Events Coordinator, you’ll report to the General Manager and work closely with every department to deliver seamless, memorable events; whether it’s a dream wedding, a corporate conference, or a special celebration. Your passion for creating exceptional experiences will shine through as you:

1. Lead and coordinate all conferences and events at the resort, acting as the key point of contact for clients from initial inquiry to event follow-up.
2. Drive sales and repeat business by quoting, upselling resort facilities, and maximising revenue through strategic yield management.
3. Plan and execute events end-to-end, collaborating with resort operations, Food & Beverage, Revenue & Group Sales, Finance and external suppliers.
4. Respond promptly to all conference and event inquiries, ensuring every guest receives timely, professional service.
5. Showcase the resort through site inspections, client entertainment and familiarisation events as part of our sales and marketing initiatives.
6. Use guest insights to innovate, developing new products and services that enhance the guest experience.
7. Contribute to a positive, energetic team culture and bring plenty of fun along the way!

What You’ll Bring

• Energy, enthusiasm, and a positive, can-do attitude. Your glass is always half full (if not overflowing!)
• A proactive approach and strong drive for team results, with a track record of achievement
• Experience in hotel, tourism, or hospitality (preferred but not essential)
• Competence in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication, with confidence in presenting and influencing others
• Commercial acumen and a knack for building lasting relationships
• Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
