NRMA Murramarang Beachfront Holiday Resort will become your new home-away-from-home - surrounded by the spectacular Murramarang national park and stunning absolute beachfront. Located just north of Batemans Bay on the South Coast of NSW. The Resort offers a large range of camp/caravan sites and accommodation options, from Beachfront Villa’s, to Glamping Tents. We offer a multitude of facilities for the young and young at heart including resort style pools and licenced on-site dining options as well as conference/events/wedding facilities.

What you’ll do:
We are looking for a full-time qualified Chef to join our team at Murramarang Resort. This is a hands-on role working across our food and beverage venues, including our popular Beach Bistro, takeaway outlet, and conference and event operations.
No two days are the same. You'll work a variety of shifts across breakfast, lunch and dinner service, supporting a busy kitchen operation that caters to resort guests, locals, conferences and weddings. This is a high-volume role, particularly during peak holiday periods and the summer season, when Murramarang becomes a popular destination for travellers and special events. You'll also work within established menu, recipe and food cost frameworks to ensure consistency and quality across all food offerings.
On a daily basis your tasks will include, but are not limited to:
- Undertake general and specialised cooking duties to a high standard
- Work within established menu, recipe and food cost frameworks, ensuring consistency, quality and compliance with company standards across all dining venues
- Work across a variety of dining outlets, supporting breakfast, lunch, dinner and event service
- Maintain food quality, consistency and presentation during high-volume service periods
- Monitor the hygiene of food preparation areas, equipment and storage facilities
- Assist with stock control, ordering and minimising food wastage
- Support conference, event and wedding catering operations
- Under the direction of the Head Chef, assist with kitchen management, portion control and supervision of junior team members
- Maintain a safe and compliant work environment in line with food safety and WHS requirements
What you’ll bring:
- Trade qualification in Commercial Cookery
- Previous experience working as a qualified Chef in a busy restaurant, hotel, resort or functions environment
- Experience preparing high-volume meals whilst maintaining quality and consistency
- A sound understanding of modern Australian cuisine and contemporary food trends
- Experience catering for conferences, events or weddings will be highly regarded
- A passion for food, presentation and creating memorable dining experiences
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a kitchen team
- Possess a DoFoodSafely Certificate of completion
- Flexible attitude to working a 7-day roster, including weekends, evenings and public holidays
- Immediate availability or the ability to commence in the short term is highly desirable
