Job Description

Your opportunity

We currently have a new exciting career opportunity for a full time Banking Officer to join the NRMA Finance Team, reporting to the NRMA Group Accounts Receivable Manager. As a Banking Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely reconciliation of the financial transactions in the Bank account. This position plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity of financial records, identifying discrepancies, and supporting the overall financial reporting process.

This role is located in our central Sydney Olympic Park Office with flexible/hybrid working options available.

What You'll Do

  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations for multiple bank accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Review and match transactions in bank statements against internal accounting systems.
  • Investigate discrepancies between bank statements and internal records, and resolve any issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including accounting, operations, and treasury, to reconcile financial data and resolve any variances.
  • Maintain accurate records of reconciliation processes and document all related processes and adjustments.
  • Ensure all reconciliation tasks are completed in accordance with established timelines and company procedures.

 

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
  • Proven experience in bank reconciliation or financial operations.
  • Strong understanding of banking transactions, accounting principles, and reconciliation processes.
  • Proficient in accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and financial systems.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
  • Ability to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and take corrective actions.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with internal departments and external financial institutions.
  • Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
