Angourie Resort is located along the pristine shores of the seaside town of Yamba, Northern New South Wales. Surrounded by 600 hectares of picturesque rainforest and a stone’s throw from Yuraygir National Park, the Resort is a traveller’s delight. It showcases 66 rooms, a pool, day spa, restaurant and conference facilities, as well as being a popular location for weddings. Angourie Resort is the perfect place to relax and rejuvenate. Located only 1.5 hours from the popular towns of Byron Bay and Coffs Harbour.  Â
What you will do:Â
Reporting to the General Manager, you will consider yourself a confident and absolute 'all round' Resort Manager. This varied role will see you, build and maintain successful relationships and a positive work culture amongst to enhance guests and stakeholder relationships.  You will provide a versatile approach in leadership and management to support in all areas of operations, from Food and Beverage and Events, to Housekeeping and Grounds. You will also:Â
- Provide a versatile and hands-on approach to supporting your teams to ensuring quality standards, effective communication and consistency across all areas of the Resorts operationÂ
- Maintain leadership credibility in all areas of the park operation by exhibiting consistent high standards of personal ethicsÂ
- Build a strong guest-centric culture empowering our team to prioritise guest satisfaction, actively seek feedback, and consistently deliver exceptional experiences.
- Focus on enhancing employee culture and retentionÂ
- Assist in ensuring teams are resourced accordingly and participating in recruitment activity as neededÂ
- Ensure that all employees receive a thorough park and department induction and sufficient on the job trainingÂ
- Liaise with the General Manager regarding significant maintenance issues, repairs and additional projectsÂ
- Support the General Manager to monitor and manage key business performance indicatorsÂ
- Monitor and maintain a high standard of safety of all guests, visitors and employeesÂ

What you will bring:Â
- You will have previous experience as an Operations Manager, Hotel or Resort Manager in a large property with Food and Beverage and Events
- You will be able to demonstrate experience in leading or overseeing teams and driving a positive team and guest focused cultureÂ
- An ability to understand employment awardsÂ
- Experience managing financial budgets in respect to incremental revenue targets, labour, operating costs and monthly re-forecastsÂ
- You will have experienced working in an environment where initiative, organisational and advance planning skills are essential. Â
- You will demonstrate a flexible attitude to work and the passion to work as part of an operational team who are hands on, confident and have a passion for delivering outstanding guest serviceÂ
- You walk the talk and can communicate to team members, guests and stakeholders of all levels.Â
- Previous experience in food and beverage, or events based related management is an absolute bonusÂ
