Cafe Manager: NRMA South West Rocks Resort

What you will do:

You will work closely alongside the Cook, Resort Management and the Group Food and Beverage Manager to represent the core values of the NRMA in terms of professionalism, cleanliness and guest experience.

This is a full time permanent position, that will provide a mix of front of house coordination, kitchen and team oversight including rostering.  

Key responsibilities: 

• Train, develop and mentor Café team members
• Assist to prep and cook menu items as needed
• Assist with Cafe team rosters and sufficient employee numbers
• Control and positively influence ‘Cost of Sales’
• Assist the Park Management team to operate within department budget
• Collaborate with the Park Manager & Group Food & Beverage Manager to create strategic plans to develop the department
• Maintain and develop positive relationships with suppliers
• Comply with Licensing, Food Safety Plan and OHS requirement as applicable

Ultimately, and above all, create and maintain a positive, dynamic working culture that creates moments of unforgettable quality!

What you will bring:

• Experience in managing or playing a lead role a Café, Restaurant, Bar and or Kitchen
• Experience in cooking and the preparation of food items
• Mixology and Barista skill base and knowledge 
• Outstanding guest service, communication and the ability to relate to and lead a team of all levels of experience
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Tourism/Hospitality Management, Commercial Cookery or equivalent are an advantage (desirable) 
• Current Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate (desirable)
